1. Log into your New Canaan Pediatrics Patient Portal (click link above)
2. Scroll to “Upcoming Appointments” and click “Schedule Appointment”
3. Choose “Vaccine Only” category then choose your child (and add other children if needed)
4. Choose the Flu Shot vaccine option. NO FLU MIST
5. Choose “Find Appointments” then chose from the appointment options available.
We will have plenty of opportunities for you to receive vaccines, so please do not panic- we will get everyone vaccinated. If your child is very “needle phobic” or you have special circumstances, please contact our office to make separate arrangements.

Not only are there more native ticks than ever in Connecticut this year, there are also species new to the neighborhood, including the Lone Star tick, the Asian longhorn tick and the Gulf Coast tick.
As our summer season lengthens and temperatures rise, ticks will continue to be a real problem for Connecticut residents. Avoiding ticks is the best way to avoid the diseases that ticks spread. Here, we help remind our patient families to be vigilant about checking themselves and their children for these tiny insects after spending time outdoors, especially in wooded or brushy areas.

Beginning May 31, 2021 New Canaan Pediatrics implemented an annual Administrative Fee. Rather than charge for each individual service, we have created a comprehensive care plan that will be more cost effective and easier for families. This plan allows us to continue to provide the most up to date services while remaining a small and personal office.

The Care Fee rates are as follows:
$75 per patient 18 years and younger
$50 per patient 19 years and older
$225 maximum per family
This fee is yearly and can be paid on or before May 30th. If the fee poses a financial burden or you are covered under Husky/Medicaid please contact our office to discuss a different process.
For many children, summer camp is what they’ve looked forward to all school year. Whether it’s day camp, overnight camp or speciality camp for sports, arts or sciences, summer camp gives kids the opportunity to make new friends, discover new ideas, develop new skills. Camp is a refreshing and revitalizing experience for children!
For many parents, camp and COVID-19 are a scary mix. While most children don’t contract serious cases of the virus, spreading the virus to vulnerable family and community members may be a significant concern.
